My nutritionist has changed my diet slightly. I will start a new juice on March 1st. Everything else pretty much remains the same. It's kind of fun to change it up a little although I wasn't really bored with the first juice yet. It was yummy!!!!
My diet has made me feel so good that I have decided to put Dhiraj on it. He's not happy about it but since when do I listen to him;-)??

Moment of Truth
The moment of truth is finally here. I will be going first thing in the morning for a blood test per the dietician's order. The test results should be back next week sometime. I am a bit nervous but I hope to see some progress. I worked so hard on this diet.

Update on diet

Well....the diet is still going well. Even though it's not any fun to admit, I must tell you that I finally cheated. What could I do? I am visiting California at the moment and one day, Jack in the Box just did it for me. I had to have a nice juicy chicken sandwich. Although I felt terrible after eating the chicken sandwich in just 4 big bites (don't ask), it was yummy. C'mon people! I've been good on my diet. I completed my one full month on this diet before cheating.

New diet....new life

I have started a new diet that is supposed to lower my bad cholesterol and triglycerides level. Due to being on the fertility medications for so long, my total cholesterol has basically jumped through the roof. I contacted a dietician who helped my Mother with her RA (Rheumatoid Arthiritis) and decided to follow her diet. The diet mainly consists of vegetables and fruits with fish twice or thrice a week. It has been about 2 weeks.

Fertility Medicines

Here is information on some commonly used Fertility medicines:
Lupron- Lupron Depot belongs to a class of drugs called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists. It is used to decrease the body's production of specific hormones, natural chemicals that influence the behavior of certain cells. Because Lupron Depot can reduce the production of both male and female hormones, it is used to treat specific conditions in men, women, and children.
Follistim- Follistim is used to stimulate a follicle to develop and mature. It is used when a woman desires pregnancy and her ovaries can produce a follicle but hormonal stimulation is not sufficient to make the follicle mature. Follistim is also used to stimulate the development of multiple eggs for in vitro fertilization.
Antagon- Antagon™ is a medication known as a gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonist and is used to prevent premature ovulation in women undergoing fertility procedures.
Progesterone- Progesterone, one of the reproductive hormones normally produced by the ovary after ovulation. It is needed to prepare the endometrium for implantation of an embryo and is used as part of an assisted reproductive technology (ART), ovulation induction or sometimes to induce a period in a woman who hasn't ovulated.
Estrogen- The difference between a healthy pregnancy and an unsuccessful in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempt may be less than few nanograms of estrogen. New research shows even the tiniest variations in a woman's estrogen levels may help explain why up to 70% of healthy embryos fail to implant themselves in the uterus. Although a small amount of estrogen is needed to make the uterus receptive to the embryo, researchers found slightly too much of the hormone can alter the necessary genetic process at the implantation site in the uterus and can drastically shorten the fertility window.
