Low Beta Level

Well, I went to my doctor's office on Wednesday to get my BETA HCG measured. It came out very low positive. The level was 10.5 (extremely low). My doctor didn't feel positive at all and told me to stop taking Progesterone shots and the Estrace pills. I was very heartbroken since this is the very first time that I had to experience something like this. It was sort of like someone pointing their finger and laughing at me.

I consulted many friends on the infertility blog and they all told me to not lose the hope and continue the meds...just in case. I continued until Friday but then gave up on Saturday. My "pregnant" feeling was gone. I felt different. I felt alone.

I decided to go for a 2nd BETA HCG test at my OB-GYN's office. I should get the results by 2 PM tomorrow. Only time will tell as to which direction we will be progressing in. If you ask me, I just want to get it over with already. It's better to not be pregnant than having to deal with a low rising BETA. A low rising BETA can be very scary as it can indicate a pregnancy taking place in the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus. I haven't had any signs of an ectopic pregnancy yet. The main thing to watch out for is a sharp pain in the uterus.
